This will be the final public workshop for this study. The purpose of this study is to identify opportunities to improve safety and provide low-stress bicycle and pedestrian facilities along SR 1 between Bethany Beach and the Indian River Inlet Bridge. The formal public notice is posted on the Delaware Public Meeting Calendar (click here to view).
An overview presentation will be given at 5 pm and repeated at 6 pm.

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) invites you to the Five Points Transportation Study and the SR 1 Low-Stress Bikeways Study: Public Open House on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, beginning at 4:30 pm at the Cape Henlopen High School Cafeteria, located at 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958. The study team will provide a review of the 2024 Five Points Transportation Study and share the schedule for the remainder of the calendar year.
Members of the public are welcome to drop in any time between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to view study information for the Five Points Transportation Study and final recommendations for the SR 1 Low-Stress Bikeways Study. The study team and DelDOT staff will be on hand to answer questions. A brief presentation on the 2024 Five Points Transportation Study Annual Report will be given at 4:30 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m.

The CCMC brings together the Coastal Corridors Committee (comprised of Ellendale, Georgetown, and Milton stakeholders) and stakeholders from the Greenwood/Bridgeville Transportation Plan. The first meeting of the CCMC was be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 4 p.m. Agenda topics may include:
