New Castle County FY25-30 CTP
Every two years, the Department of Transportation develops a 6-year Capital Transportation Program (CTP) that identifies anticipated capital investments. This program is developed in cooperation with the Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO), Dover/Kent County Metropolitan Planning Organization, Salisbury-Wicomico Metropolitan Planning Organization, and Sussex County. The program provides information on various DelDOT capital and maintenance programs and on the estimated cost expenditures for the project phasing of a capital project that are anticipated in each specific fiscal year.

Comment on the US 40 between US 13 and MD Line Multimodal Improvements project:
Implement Complete Streets Policy. Provide continuous, dedicated multi-use shared pathway for bikers and pedestrians separated from travel lanes (where appropriate).
Comment on the Hares Corner (US 13 and SR 273) Grade Separated Intersection project:
Provide grade separated intersection with approach improvements. Implement Complete Streets Policy. Fill in sidewalk gaps and provide transit, biking, and pedestrian amenities, where appropriate.
Comment on the Governor Printz Boulevard Road Diet between US 13 at Philadelphia Pike and East 35th Street project:
Lane width reduction northbound and southbound, reduce pavement section to provide 11’ lanes in each direction. Buffered multi-use paths and sidewalks to be added in both directions. Implement Complete Streets Policy; provide transit, biking, and pedestrian amenities, where appropriate.
Comment on the St. Anne's Church Road at SR 71 Intersection Improvements project:
Upgrade approaches and provide single-lane roundabout. Implement Complete Streets Policy where appropriate.
Comment on the Bunker Hill Road at Sand Hill Drive/Merrimac Avenue Intersection Improvements project:
Upgrade approaches & provide single-lane roundabouts. Implement Complete Streets Policy where appropriate.

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) invites all interested parties to participate in the development of the State's next six-year Capital Transportation Program (CTP) for Fiscal Years 2025-2030 and the Transportation Improvement Programs (TIPs) for Fiscal Years 2025-2028 for each Delaware Metropolitan Planning Organization, by attending the public meeting. These meetings are jointly sponsored by the Council on Transportation, DelDOT, the Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO), the Dover/Kent County MPO, the Salisbury/Wicomico MPO, and Sussex County.
